Pneumatic Characterizing Relay

The Pneumatic Characterizing Relay converts a linear signal into a nonlinear signal for specific use by combustion control components whose performance characteristics must conform to nonlinear system requirements. Such components are fuel pressure control valves that must be stroked in accordance with operational conditions imposed by boiler load and specific boiler curves.

The Characterizing Relay is a self-contained assembly which requires only interconnecting tubing for input, output, and supply air connections. Signal conversion from linear input to nonlinear output is accomplished by specially shaped cams.
