The Pneumatic Positioning Relay is an integral subassembly of pneumatic actuators that develops and sequences airflow to drive the actuator to position process control equipment. The realy consists of three major parts - a mounting block, flexure support and loading chamber. The mounting block contains connections for supply air ( S ) and two ouputs ( C1,C2 ), and a spring-loaded pilot vlave to sequence supply airflow to the two output ports. The flexure support furnishes a mounting surface for the positioner beam assembly that is actuated by mechanical feedback linkage. The loading chamber is the top assembley of the positioner and contains the input connection ( I ) and the loading diaphragm chamber.
